Following two critically-acclaimed albums as a leader, The Cheap Ensemble (2017) and Fault Lines (2022), drummer Dana Fitzsimons assembles a bold and highly improvisational new trio, featuring tenor saxophonist Chris Otts and bassist Sam Winternheimer, that blurs genre lines and abandons convention while seeking fresh musical territory, while drawing inspiration from classic jazz tenor trios, ambient music, folk music, and the avant garde.
