Nina Garbus is an Atlanta-based art-rock group formed in 2019 by Kristina Laygo, Peter Keevy, Calvin Howze, and Roscoe Odom. Drawing on late-2010s angular guitar music, they released their debut album The Wellness Center, gaining traction on college radio and touring the Southeast. A split EP with Jr. Joy pushed them into more fantastical prog territory and led to drummer William Gunnin joining the band. Their latest album, Secrets of the Fifth Angel, is now complete.
Inspired by film noir of the early 20th century, they attempt to bring the movement into the sonic realm. Incorporating elements of post-rock, prog, and italian film scores, the group aims to tell the story of P.I. Ron Tamerlane as he's thrust into his toughest case yet.
We’ll listen to their now album, followed by a DJ set by band members
