For the past decade, Nelward has built a prolific, internet-native cult following through a wonky, genre- fluid vision of modern electronic jazzpop. A true DIY auteur, Nelward handles every facet of his output— from the intricate, maximalist production to the surreal, self-produced videos that define his visual world. Initially inspired by the Nintendo melodies etched into his ADHD brain, his breakout new jack swing/nu-metal 2019 banger “Ghost” was followed by the infectious 90s funk earworm “Never Wanna Fall (In Love with U)”, leading to the visceral and conscious songwriting in the 2020 EP Eat Your Dreams.

After ten years of using singles and EPs as a medium for sonic world-building, Nelward is set to release his debut full-length album, Stone Bogus, on June 12.

Stone Bogus is a "sonic autopsy" of the last decade—a high-velocity response to the psychological horror renaissance of A24 works like Midsommar, Bugonia and The Curse. Lyrically, the album dissects the societal erosion of a shared reality from COVID onwards, mapping a world that has become rapidly and violently Bogus.
