About —
Food tells the story of who we are. Chinwa means “Chinese” in Haitian Creole, a word that carries the history of migration, culture, and survival in places like New Orleans — where Chinese and Creole flavors came together and created something new.
This pop-up is that spirit alive again.
Two chefs, two journeys:
George — Black + Chinese roots, cooking through the lens of memory and heritage.
Li — proudly Chinese, honoring tradition while pushing flavor forward.
Together, they’re serving a menu that celebrates both sides, blending Southern soul and Chinese depth.
